What we collect
- Account data. If you create an account: your email address and a hashed password.
- Purchase records. If you buy an access plan: the plan, date, and the payment and customer identifiers issued by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s page and never reach HoseSeek.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, searches, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, collected through server logs and Google Analytics.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email.
The calculators run in your browser. Dimensions you type into them are not sent to our server.
Cookies
- Free-view meter. A first-party cookie records which hose records you opened this month so the free allowance can be applied. It contains record identifiers only.
- Sign-in. Cookies that keep you logged in to your account.
- Language. A cookie that remembers the language you chose.
- Analytics and advertising. Google Analytics and Google advertising services may set cookies to measure use of the site and to show and measure ads. Where the law requires consent, these are used only after you agree.
How we use data
To provide your account and access plan, to apply the free allowance, to answer your messages, to prevent abuse, and to understand which machines and tools people need so we can improve the site.
Who we share it with
Stripe, for payments. Google, for analytics and advertising. Our hosting and email providers. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists and afterwards for as long as accounting and legal rules require. Server logs are kept for a limited period.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing sales@hoseseek.com from the address on the account. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site still works, but the free-view allowance restarts and you will need to sign in again.
